"Smith-Njigba is entering his third NFL season following a breakout 2024 in which he ranked top 10 among wide receivers in routes, receptions, yardage and fantasy points (19th in PPG). Operating primarily in a short-area role, "JSN" was, however, limited to six TDs and ranked 16th in end zone targets (11). The 2023 first-round pick got more downfield opportunities in 2024 than he did as a rookie and perhaps will get even more in 2025 with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett out and Cooper Kupp in as his wide receiver running mate. Smith-Njigba will also have a new playcaller (Klint Kubiak) and quarterback (Sam Darnold), which adds some uncertainty, but the bottom line is he's an emerging star and, at 23 years old, younger than some incoming rookies. Smith-Njigba is a WR2 who could crack the top 10 with another leap forward."


"The turbulent week in Seattle continues, as previously the Seahawks released WR Tyler Lockett before fellow WR DK Metcalf requested a trade. Last season, Smith-Njigba led all Seahawks receivers in receptions (100), receiving yards (1,130), and touchdowns (six). While potentially losing Metcalf would force defenses to key in on Smith-Njigba even further, the 2023 first-round pick was superb across two games without Metcalf last year, generating 249 yards and two touchdowns. The bigger concern for Smith-Njigba's fantasy value in 2025 is the quarterback, though he should be a target hog once again considering his role in the slot -- where he played 75 percent of snaps last year -- is secure."

"Guerendo, 24, is entering his second NFL season after playing a limited role off the bench for most of his rookie campaign. Granted, it was a small sample (99 touches), but the 2024 fourth-round pick was effective as both a rusher (5.0 YPC) and receiver (94% catch rate, 9.5 YPT). With Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason battling injuries, Guerendo played at least half the snaps in four games. In those weeks, he averaged 16.8 touches, 101.0 scrimmage yards and 17.9 fantasy points. With Mason gone, Guerendo is well positioned as the primary backup to the 29-year-old McCaffrey. He has no standalone value, but he is one of the most valuable insurance holds in the game."


"Guerendo sustained MCL and ankle sprains in his left leg during San Francisco's regular-season finale, but the 2024 fourth-round pick appears back to full health ahead of mandatory minicamp, which will take place June 10-11. Christian McCaffrey also looks fully healthy after having been limited to four appearances in 2024, which leaves Guerendo competing for No. 2 reps entering Year 2 of his career. The 49ers saw fit to trade Jordan Mason to Minnesota this offseason and let Elijah Mitchell link up with the Chiefs in free agency, though the team did re-sign Patrick Taylor and select Jordan James in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Guerendo's combo of athleticism and explosiveness makes him a high-upside backup to McCaffrey, but injuries have been a consistent roadblock for him dating back to college."
