"Valdes-Scantling led Pittsburgh in targets in the absence of both DK Metcalf (suspension) and Calvin Austin (hamstring). However, he was unable to get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers, often seemingly a step or more off from where throws arrived. That was particularly noteworthy on the Steelers' final possession, as he was targeted three times unsuccessfully in the end zone to end the game. Even if Austin can return in Week 18 against the Ravens, Valdes-Scantling is likely to see a significant opportunity in a must-win matchup."

"White enters his fourth NFL season no longer positioned as Tampa Bay's lead back. The 2022 third-round pick peaked when he finished top 5 among RBs in snaps, touches, carries, routes, catches, yards and fantasy points during a breakout 2023 season, but his pedestrian efficiency led to a reduced role in 2024. White still scored nine TDs and ended up in the top 10 among RBs in targets, catches and receiving yards, but he fell to 23rd in fantasy PPG. One of only two backs with 50-plus receptions in each of the past three seasons (Alvin Kamara is the other), White figures to sustain a pass-catching role in a good offense, but Bucky Irving appears to be the new lead back in Tampa. White is a fine late-round insurance flier."

"White was a distant runner-up to Bucky Irving in carries for the Buccaneers on the afternoon, with the latter logging a career-high 26 rush attempts. Like Irving, White averaged just 3.3 yards per carry, and he complemented that with equally modest receiving yardage. White put together just a serviceable regular season despite the fact he had the potential for expanded opportunity with Irving missing seven games with shoulder and foot injuries, with the former finishing with 572 rushing yards and four touchdowns at 4.3 yards per carry while adding a 40-218-0 line on 45 targets across 17 games. White would remain in a complementary role should the Buccaneers play next weekend in the wild-card round by virtue of the Saints tying or defeating the Falcons on Sunday."
