"Shrader inked a two-year deal with the Colts mid-March after a tumultuous rookie campaign, in which he appeared in four combined games between Indianapolis, Kansas City and the Jets. He converted all five of his field-goal tries and all nine extra-point attempts across those appearances. Gay, meanwhile, went 31 for 37 on field-goal tries across 16 regular-season appearances with the Colts, with all six misses coming from 50-plus yards out. Indianapolis will doubtless bring in further options to compete with Shrader this offseason, but Gay's release provides him a clear path to securing the No. 1 job."

"Reagor was re-signed by Los Angeles in the offseason after spending the majority of the 2024 campaign with the team. The wide receiver ended the season on injured reserve with a finger injury, which sidelined him for the final four regular-season contests and the team's only playoff game. Reagor appears to be fully healthy, and he'll look to carve out a role on offense and as a return specialist."

"Ryland lost a job battle against Joey Slye at the end of August in New England, but he was called upon by Arizona in early October to step in for the injured Matt Prater (knee) and ended up kicking for the rest of the Cardinals' campaign. His performance was a far cry from that of his rookie season with the Patriots, when he went just 16-for-25 on FGAs (along with 24-for-25 on PATs) in 17 contests. Ryland's 8.5 points per game ranked tied for sixth among kickers to play in at least nine outings, and he's now the only kicker under contract for Arizona next season. Considering his overall success in 2024, he may not face any competition for the starting gig this offseason."

"Wright is entering his second pro season after totaling 71 touches in 15 games as a rookie. The 2024 fourth-round pick spent most of his first year as a clear depth option behind De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert, often time splitting No. 3 duties with Jeff Wilson Jr. He failed to find the end zone or reach 9.0 fantasy points in a single game. Achane is back as the clear lead back in 2025, but with Mostert and Wilson gone, Wright will compete with newcomer Alexander Mattison for primary backup duties. That's enough to provide the 22-year-old with some late-round insurance appeal."

"Wright entered the NFL as a 2024 fourth-round pick anticipated to join De'Von Achane as a big-play threat out of the backfield, courtesy of his 4.38 speed, but he wrapped an uneventful rookie year with just 68 carries for 249 yards (3.7 YPC) and zero touchdowns, with just one rush of 20-plus yards. Achane remains Miami's clear No. 1 tailback but is limited by a small frame and handled 281 touches in 2024, so the Dolphins should be eager for another playmaker capable of handling consistent carries to emerge. Wright still faces clear opportunity if he can impress this offseason, and coach Mike McDaniel talked up his effort during OTAs, but he'll have to compete with two larger backs in the form of experienced veteran Alexander Mattison (5-11, 220 pounds) and rookie sixth-round pick Ollie Gordon (6-1, 226 pounds), both of whom are better suited for power concepts."

"The 2024 season was a major disappointment for the Jets and that also applies to Hall's fantasy output. The 2022 second-round pick was a clear-cut fantasy RB1 during his first two seasons (eighth in PPG in 2022, sixth in 2023) prior to falling to 17th in 2024. Hall remained a clear lead back (only four RBs played more snaps) and was a force as a receiver (top 5 in routes, targets, catches and yards for the second season in a row), but pedestrian efficiency and rushing volume kept him outside the top 12 RBs in touches, yards and TDs. Hall remains one of the game's most talented backs and is in his prime at age 24, so while it's safest to view him as an RB2, he makes for an intriguing post-hype target in a new scheme with Justin Fields in at quarterback."

"The other two presumably are 2024 fourth-round pick Braelon Allen and 2024 fifth-round pick Isaiah Davis, both of whom had some nice moments as rookies while spelling Hall off the bench during his disappointing season. It won't come as any surprise if the uber-talented Hall improves in 2025 and re-establishes himself as a workhorse back under a new coaching staff, but it's nonetheless interesting to see the contrast between Glenn's comment on Hall and what he said when reporters asked about WR Garrett Wilson. Glenn referred to Wilson as a "dynamic player" and said the Jets will try to get him the ball "as much as possible.""

"The Lions signed Patrick to their practice squad in August, shortly after he was released by the Broncos. He ended up handling the No. 3 receiver role for most of the season, catching 33 of 44 targets for 394 yards and three TDs in 16 regular-season games. A return to mainstream fantasy relevance is highly unlikely for the 31-year-old, but he should at least compete for the third or fourth WR spot in Detroit again."

"Trautman's 13 grabs this season marked a career low for the Dayton product, while his 22 targets, 188 yards and two touchdowns were his lowest totals since arriving in Denver. Despite being the Broncos' No. 1 tight end, the 27-year-old spent most of the season in a timeshare with Lucas Krull and Nate Adkins. Trautman will enter 2025 in the second year of the two-year contract he signed last March before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2026. The 6-foot-5, 253-pounder likely will continue to play a similar role in head coach Sean Payton's system next season, severely limiting his fantasy potential once again."

"Williams signed with Dallas after an up-and-down four seasons in Denver. The 2021 second-round pick exploded out of the gate with 1,219 yards and seven TDs as a rookie, but was never able to match either number the following three seasons. Sean Payton's scheme helped Williams to 72 targets (fifth most among RBs) last season, but that wasn't enough for Williams to log his first top-25 fantasy campaign on a per-game basis. Perhaps Brian Schottenheimer can reignite Williams' career (Miles Sanders and fifth-round rookie Jaydon Blue are his only competition for touches), but the 25-year-old is unlikely to emerge as anything more than a flex."

"The deal has a base salary of $3 million with the potential to earn $3.5 million overall via incentives. This move appears to be the first step in moving on from Rico Dowdle, Dallas' starting running back last year, as Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis are the other players at the position under contract in 2025. There's still time for the Cowboys to add via free agency and especially the draft, but as the backfield stands, Williams is the clear No. 1 option at the moment. In four campaigns with the Broncos, the 2021 second-round pick averaged 4.0 yards per carry and 62.2 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring 16 total touchdowns in 54 regular-season contests."

"The second-year tight end took a step forward with his production, and over a three-game stretch in Weeks 11-13 during which Jake Ferguson was dealing with a concussion, Schoonmaker delivered a solid 14-144-1 line on 20 targets. The Michigan product will head into 2025 in the No. 2 spot on the Dallas depth chart, but if Ferguson deals with injuries once again, Schoonmaker has shown he's capable of handling the starting job."
